Infidelity – What Lures A Good Person Into An Affair?

The term infidelity is looked at with disdain. Cheating in relationship is considered a sin. A spouse having an affair is almost always considered an immoral character. A victim of cheating may be justified in taking a strong view of the act of infidelity by their spouse but understanding the factors behind a person’s action will help us understand a lot of things about the situation.
A person who falls for an extra marital relationship cannot always be considered one with loose morals. A number of good people with moral values and character are also sometimes lured into a relationship. Sometimes, they are literally sucked into the act as if by a vacuum. You can blame them for not having enough resistance to withstand such pulls but should not underestimate the power of such pulls. I will classify these pulls into two categories: Compatibility Issues and Unfulfilled Needs.
Compatibility Issues: It is a well known fact that marriage partners are not always compatible. The degree of compatibility varies. Most of the people adjust to incompatibilities and a spouse seeking another relationship on compatibility factors alone may not be a common occurrence. But a person facing a lot of problems due to incompatibility with their spouse may quickly fall into the trap of getting involved in a relationship with another person compatible with them. Therefore, if there are compatibility problems in your marriage, you should work towards reconciling them and minimizing the problems.
